Social Worker - Children's Initial Response Team - Devon - Up to £38p/h

We are currently looking for a social worker to join a children's initial response team based in Barnstaple, Devon. The successful candidate will be expected to carry a workload requiring exemplary practice in situations of high complexity; exercising a degree of autonomy. If required, the worker may need to provide direct supervision to staff as directed by the team manager.

It is also important that you work collaboratively with service users and their families to assess their needs and plan and deliver services in accordance with the social work team's service area.

As a Children's Social Worker, you must have demonstrable experience of:

  • Initial/core assessments
  • Section 17s, Section 7s and Section 47s
  • Attending pre-birth conferences
  • Supervised contact
  • Child Protection visits
  • Attending LAC reviews
  • Attending Children in Need meetings

As a qualified Social Worker you will be/have:

HCPC registeredEligible to work in the UKA social work qualification
