Hi, I’m Daniel Newbolt, Head of Social Work for the South locality. I qualified here in Norfolk and started my career at Norfolk County Council. Over the years I have worked in other counties, but always felt the draw back to Norfolk. I was fortunate to join Norfolk County Council last September and excited to lead the social work teams across the South locality. The teams are a mixture of experienced and newly qualified, they work together brilliantly and are extremely supportive and focussed.

Norfolk is a fantastic place to live and work. Our main base is in Long Stratton where we are co-located with partner agencies in modern council offices, within close proximity to Long Stratton Leisure Centre, schools and other community resources. There is plentiful parking onsite and our base provides easy access to Norwich and surrounding areas via the A140.

The city of Norwich offers everything you could possible need; restaurants, shops, cinemas and an array of sporting activities. It’s a vibrant city and well linked by train to London, Cambridge and the Midlands. You are also only 30 minutes away from the beautiful Norfolk coast and surrounded by beautiful rural towns and villages.

I’m looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Social Worker to join our Leaving Care teams.

If you’re a dedicated social work professional and like the sound of working in South Norfolk, I’d love to hear from you.
