Social Worker - Approved Mental Health - North London
As a Social Worker you will undertake all statutory roles and functions of an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP); approved and authorised under the Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended 2007). Provide a comprehensive social work and care coordination service to adults with mental health needs, specifically those with Psychotic disorders and within a defined service area.
Successful applicants will have proven case work experience in working with adults with mental health needs and related social difficulties, including child/young person/adult safeguarding protection issues.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Worker (AMHP's) will be responsible for undertaking Mental Health Act Assessments in accordance with the Mental Health Act 1983 (as revised in 2007).
- Applicants will also be expected to deal with Vulnerable adults, homelessness referrals and safeguarding referrals that arise out of office hours.
- You will be working collaboratively across all disciplines to continuously promote the needs of this client group and provide a service when it is indicated that without the provision of a service an adult would suffer significant harm or hardship.
Requirements as a Approved Mental Practitioner:
- MUST be AMHP qualified
- HCPC registered
- Eligible to work in the UK
