About us:
General Technology are a software development and IT services company based in Shoreditch, London. We have over 30 years of experience in this field, and specialise in serving the higher education sector. We are currently looking for a keen and motivated Sales Consultant to join our growing team and help us spread the word about our great products for universities and FE colleges.

About you:
Our ideal candidate is an experienced Sales Consultant, with experience either in the higher education sector, or the software sales field. Our business is built upon building lasting relationships with our clients, and we pride ourselves on generating much of our new business from recommendations - we therefore are looking for a candidate that appreciates this, and has a relationship-driven attitude towards sales. However, we are also results-oriented, and would like a candidate that thrives on generating high-quality leads, making sales and hitting targets.

The role:
We currently have a number of mature software products that form our core product offering, and we regularly demo these to universities and FE colleges in the UK. Your role will involve driving sales for these core products through arranging meetings with key stakeholders, arranging or giving demos and following up hot leads. Your role will also involve generating new leads by contacting potential new customers and qualifying these leads using advanced criteria. Here, you will use your sales consultant skills to understand their pain points, determine which products we can offer them, and communicate how these will meet their needs. Finally, the role also involves attending annual conferences and networking with potential customers.
The salary advertised is negotiable, and a commissions-based structure is also possible. We are also happy to offer this position on a freelance or part-time basis.

Desirable skills:
-Experience in presenting and demonstrating products face-to-face
