About us

HireHand is an innovative start-up on a mission to improve work in the 21st century. We know a growing number of people want flexibility and variety where they work. We know businesses – small ones in particular – really struggle to find staff. We make life better by connecting those people with those businesses. Our industry focus is food retail – we got our start in the vibrant street food and pop-up scene and since then served hundreds of traders including some of the most prominent markets and fixed locations.

Our team

We are a small team with irreverent, hardworking and supportive team culture. Our founder is Scott Erwin, a former McKinsey senior manager and Rhodes Scholar and we are backed by a top-shelf VC and angel investors. Additionally, we have office in City of London, conveniently located near many of our fantastic clients.

The role

We’re a fast growing start up and the role is one for you to shape and build. At its most basic it is applying (and improving!) the people, process and systems we have developed to serve independent businesses to larger multi-unit casual dining businesses.

Account Manager

We aim to go beyond a supplier relationship with our clients and become trusted staffing partners. Your role would be to own the relationships with our clients between 5 - 20 sites with the aim for you to take on bigger accounts in time. Responsibilities would include:

+ Delivering exceptional client service to your accounts through fully understanding their staffing needs and ensuring those are met by HireHand recruitment and operations team
+ Growing the account across different sites and ensuring customer success through consistently hitting milestones
+ Identifying additional areas beyond temporary staff support where we can add value to clients (e.g., full-time hiring, video-based onboarding, efficiency analytics) and marshalling that support from the HireHand organisation
+ Reporting key metrics on both customer engagement and sales

Big Account Business Development

While we work with amazing clients we would always like to work with more! Our aim is to continue to work our way into bigger clients by increasingly supporting 25+ unit sites. Part of this role is increasing our presence with this segment. Responsibilities would include:
+ The bread and butter of business development, e.g., identifying opportunities and targets, nurturing those leads through the sales cycle and tracking this cycle in our CRM
+ Establishing yourself as a fixture in the casual dining “scene” via networking, thought leadership and just showing up

Both roles will also involve liaising with our product management function to ensure that the tech platform is at minimum delivering the required functionality for our clients and at maximum delighting them.

Requisite Qualifications

This role is tailor made for an individual who has experience in the hospitality sector a warm way with people and analytical capabilities with application beyond the hospitality industry.
