The Job: Elevator Pitch

We help amazing start-ups grow, thrive and succeed. We do that by offering space, advice, facilities and opportunities to the startups and entrepreneurs who work with us.

We’re looking for an organised, enthusiastic, self-starting Office Assistant and Reception Hero to be the first port of call for our wonderful start-ups. You’ll be our eyes and ears on the ground: solving problems, making our clients feel welcome and creating a great atmosphere to work in. You will also be hands on helping us with our various events, from Hackathons, to New Member Welcome Drinks, to the Legendary Runway East Halloween party.

The Job: The Nitty Gritty

Our work spaces are filled with some of the most exciting tech entrepreneurs in the UK - and we want someone who is looking for a fast-paced, exciting role, to help us make their experience even better.

Our Office Assistant and Reception Hero will keep a keen eye on the practical running of our workspaces - from admin supplies to printer access - as well as providing a warm, welcoming experience for all our clients. They will be a problem solver, a fast thinker, be sociable as well as ruling a spreadsheet with an iron fist.

You’ll learn great office skills, get operations and events experience, as well as become entrenched in a network of the latest innovators of the UK tech scene.

What You’ll Be Doing

Providing a warm welcome
You’ll be the first interaction our start-ups and entrepreneurs have, so a warm, welcoming demeanour and a love of people is a must. You’ll ensure our spaces are clean, tidy and are looking their best, you’ll take pride in our kingdom and help ensure it’s the best it can be.

Keeping the office on track
Managing our post, answering calls and emails and assisting with building operations work, you’ll make sure that our day-to-day runs smoothly and efficiently.

Passionate about people
This job is all about communicating with our brilliant clients, as well as our team, so we need someone who loves dealing with people from all walks of life. You’ll be friendly, warm, clear and confident, with a talent for written comms as well as face to face.

You’re well-versed in the Microsoft Office, and take pleasure in meticulous planning.

The Negotiables:

Any previous experience in managing a reception is great, but it’s not the end of the world if you don’t have it.
