We measure and improve wellbeing by using cutting edge diagnostic tools and scalable digital wellbeing interventions. These are based on techniques developed in the world’s largest study of momentary happiness and in pioneering App-based interventions with, for example, Headspace and Vice.

PSYT was co-founded by Nicholas Begley, previous Head of Research at Headspace and Dr George Mackerron, developer of Mappiness, the world’s largest study into Momentary Happiness conducted while at LSE.

JOB DETAILS
We have just closed a funding round (details here - https://vimeo.com/242095426) and are looking for an enthusiastic experienced General Manager and co-founder, to help grow the company to the next level. Ideally they will have experience in B2B and B2C and will have successfully scaled a technology company. They will have a commercial background, with a strong interest in wellbeing and will help grow the company developing strategy and building out sales and operations, allowing the cofounders to focus on product and partnerships. We see this role evolving into the CEO job as the company grows.

Mission of the Role:
The mission for the General Manager (GM) is to deliver a well-run business, one that meets its revenue targets of 1m ARR by September 2019, achieves Net Promotor Score of 30+, a team motivation score of 70%+ and our social impact target of improving the wellbeing of 10m people in 3 years.

Priority deliverables:
We think it is helpful to know what success looks like right from out outset. This is what you will you be expected to deliver. These are intended to be as objective and as SMART as possible.

• Ensure that the business meets its revenue target of £1m ARR by September 2019.

• Hire A level players to key roles in marketing and sales.

• Lead and motivate the team with a 70%+ score from a 360 review on clarity, consistency, delivery and inspiration.

• Take full accountability for the P&L, including balancing the cost drivers and revenue drivers, in line with our strategic priorities.

• Deliver short term performance measures of i. revenue, ii.customer satisfaction and iii. team motivation to achieve a 70% aggregate score with no score below 60%.

• Personify our values, creating a team culture of openness, dependability, clarity meaningfulness and impactfulness.

• Manage relationship with investors, with a score of 75% satisfaction with relevant and timely investor information.

Nick leads on interventions, as the former Head of Research for successful mindfulness app Headspace. ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We’re looking for a candidate who has a proven track record working in a startup and scaling the business.

The non-negotiables:
● Knowledge of scaling up a tech startup with experience in business management.
● Knowledge of developing strategy, setting goals and executing against budget.
● High competency in both managing and growing a team of staff to drive target KPIs
● Excellent organizational skills, with impressive ability to manage a multitude of responsibilities and get things done.
● Entrepreneurial, commercially and operationally minded.
● Excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics
● Supportive leadership style
● Have a relevant business degree ideally an MBA

Highly desirable:
● Successfully built or run another technology start-up
● Experience in the B2B and B2C space
● Experience in managing investors and raising finance
● Passion for psychology and wellbeing
● Experience in sales, managing finance or similar financial exposure
● High competency in understanding, implementing and maintaining systems/automation within a business.
