Shepper is a pioneering data collection and analysis platform based in London Bridge that works across multiple industries, from insurance and retail to the sharing economy ecosystem. Since launching in late 2016 we have already been named a top 100 UK start-up (twice!) and launched operations in over 15 countries across the globe.

We were founded in late 2016 by serial entrepreneurs Carl August Ameln, Ben Prouty and Jan Vanhoutte, and have grown to a team of 12 over the past two years. We are also part of the prestigious Founders Factory Accelerator programme which is run by co-founder Brent Hoberman and backed by the likes of Aviva, L’Oreal, The Guardian Media Group and easyJet.

Having recently secured VC Series A funding, we are looking to double our team over the next few months in order to support our ambitious growth and international expansion targets. We want Shepper to be an extremely challenging, but enjoyable and fun place to work, and are looking for talented people to join us at this relatively early stage, and become instrumental in growing Shepper across the globe.

*The Role*

With a growing number of businesses and clients using Shepper’s services, it will be your responsibility to ensure their experience is a fantastic one! You will work closely with the Sales and Business Development teams, understanding client requirements and driving re-use, as well as the operations team to ensure your clients are being serviced in the most efficient way. You will also be primarily responsible for client engagement, from arranging events and entertainment, to creating content and newsletters that clients will love.

You will report directly to our Head of Sales and Marketing, but work closely with teams across the business.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Act as an account manager for our existing business customers, ensuring they understand how to use our website and service, and managing any queries and requests
• Liaise with Sales and Operations to ensure that client tasks are performed efficiently and to the client’s satisfaction
• Arrange events and entertainment that clients will love
• Design client engagement strategies – for example content and newsletters, and collect client feedback on our service
• Drive re-use and increased use within our business accounts – understanding what we can offer to increase our sales numbers
• Re-negotiate client agreements and use pricing and product features to incentivise increased use
• Work with our Product team to design new features for clients, and put together templates for new client inspections

*About you:*

• At least 1 year's experience working in an office environment or in a customer-facing role
• 2:1 degree or above from a top university
• Highly energetic with the ability to channel that energy productively
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt your style to clients at all levels
• The ability to function well independently and as part of a team
• Perfectionist with great attention to detail
• Good skill level in Microsoft Office product suite (Powerpoint, Word, Outlook and Excel)
• Great project manager, with the ability to manage several tasks at the same time
• Fluent in verbal and written English

*Preferred but not required:*

• Experience working in Sales or Account management
• Start-up experience
• Fluency in another European language (e.g. Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, German, Dutch)
• Understanding of basic marketing tools, (e.g. Social Media, MailChimp, PhotoShop, Blogs, etc.)

Most importantly, the candidate should have a passion for start-ups, the business and this role.
