RoomLab was founded in 2017 by interior designer Suzann Bozorgi, with a mission of helping everyone create a home that they love to live in. We are achieving this by taking the process online, where our specialist Interior Designers curate for each customer a bespoke style-led furniture package at an accessible price point in an easy (and really fun) way.

RoomLab are currently based in a light, bright, and collaborative working space at the offices of our incredible venture capital investors, Forward Partners - just off Old Street roundabout and in the hub of all things tech.

The Opportunity:

This is an awesome opportunity for a highly-motivated ambitious person who is passionate about smashing goals and has an infectious personality. We’re looking for someone who has bags of energy, and is excited to speak with people for the first time to position RoomLab’s incredible service and start them on their journey towards owning the perfect furniture for their space.

We’re looking for a brilliant communicator to proactively identify and approach RoomLab’s future customers. You will work closely with a brilliant entrepreneur and dedicated company founder and a vibrant, hard-working team to build your skill; as the company grows you’ll very tangibly grow with it. You will be a high-impact person who is excited about being part of an early stage startup journey; RoomLab has ambitious plans and will become a household name.

RoomLab work in a dynamic office, in a ‘startup studio’ environment alongside five other tech startups; we have unrivalled access to a broader team of experts in their fields, with whom we work to effectively scale the company. In this role, you will have an incredible opportunity to work with and learn from Forward Partners’ Head of Growth, our dedicated and passionate Performance Marketing Agency, and some of the best operational experts around.

We are looking for a passionate, smart person who wants to be part of the energy, speed and general great vibes of this growing team, and who is proud to say they work at RoomLab.

In your first 12 months you will have learned more than you thought possible, but as an overview, your core responsibilities will be:

● Your primary goal is to build, replenish, and maintain a healthy pipeline of new customer interest for RoomLab and manage those opportunities through to close with pace and positivity
● You’ll drive the search for new, prospective customers via direct communication (phone, email, social media and any other avenues you can identify)
● You will work with tenacity to hit, and over-achieve your targets
● You’ll have strong insight and use rock solid initiative to generate your own leads, consistently
growing RoomLab’s picture of our customer profile: their pain-points and their needs
● At the core of RoomLab’s commercial growth, you’ll create huge impact by engaging our future
customers and building RoomLab’s happy fanbase!
● Based on customer feedback, you’ll have a fantastic opportunity to help scope and define ongoing
product development at RoomLab
● RoomLab are a high-growth, fast-paced startup environment; you’ll be happy and motivated to get
stuck in, pushing the needle for the business at every opportunity.
● RoomLab’s leadership don’t believe in micro-management so you’ll be a self-starter who loves to
own their responsibilities.

About you:
● You’ll be confident speaking to people on the phone and via email, and for the first time. The thought of walking into a room of strangers and networking fills you with excitement - not fear!
● You’ll have received sales training and have some experience in new business development
● You’ll have experience managing a sales funnel and will understand how to manage a sales process
in a timely and professional way
● You’ll be high-energy with an infectious personality and will be a relentless problem-solver
● You’ll be achievement and outcome-oriented, love setting goals and love achieving them!
● You’ll be supremely organised and able to maintain your composure when juggling many tasks
● You will not ‘cope in a changeable landscape’ you’ll thrive in one! You love being busy.
● Ideally you’ll have a personal interest in interior/spatial design, but this is a bonus not a necessity
● You’ll be innately entrepreneurial; maybe in the future you’d love to run your own business
● You’ll be excited about joining an early-stage company and working hard to make an impact, in a
highly visible role
● You will have a good sense of humour, be easy-going yet incredibly hard-working
● You will have a love of consumer-facing technology products
