Amplify Life is a personal challenge and coaching hub, recently available on the App Store and Google Play.
We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer to join our dynamic team based in a unique location on the outskirts of Horsham. With stunning countryside views, a team who are full of life and a quickly evolving brand, Amplify Life is truly an exceptional place to work.

We are looking for someone ideally with experience in implementing UI driven automation frameworks and maintaining these test suites, someone who relishes the challenge of working in a fast-paced, agile software development environment. Happy to speak with experienced manual software testers eager to step into the world of automation testing – keen to learn and develop skills in automation scripting.

With the exciting project of taking on and owning our existing UI automation framework under the guidance of behavioural driven acceptance tests, you will slot into our agile development team to ensure new features are fully tested prior to live release and enhance our regression test coverage on a sprint-by-sprint basis. You will be a naturally inquisitive, out of the box thinker with the ability to challenge the status quo in order to enhance quality processes where you see fit.

Our ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, confident self-starter – comfortable pursuing their own learning and role development to help the team grow and develop the product. Experience of the following technologies is desirable but not limited to;

• Knowledge and understanding of java - Server-side Java 8+
• Knowledge and understanding of HTML / CSS / Javascript
• UI driven automation frameworks – particularly experience with Appium and cucumber
• Experience of working with different platform test suites – Android and iOS
• Cloud-based SaaS integration - saucelabs/testobject/browserstack.
• Experience working with JIRA
• Knowledge and understanding of continuous integration methodologies and tools – Jenkins, GitHub

You’ll be expected to perform manual testing for new features and releases as well as exploratory testing to ensure our platforms remain at a high standard, therefore we are looking for essential experience in the below;

• Filing bugs, and communicating with the team about issues
• Writing and executing test scripts and test instructions
• Advise on testing improvements and assist with the roll out of automation testing
• General facility with technology, able to learn new technologies quickly
• Start-up experience.

As the company grows, there is the opportunity to lead teams in any number of exciting areas. We also have global ambitions, so if you are interested in travel, and possibly working in Australia, America, etc. this could certainly happen.

We are looking for a great QA who is passionate about some or all of the following:

• Mobile development
• Wearable technology
• Health, fitness and lifestyle
• Sport – could be anything!
• Continuous delivery / deployment

Any applicants should have a keen interest in health, sports or fitness as this will be beneficial in shaping the product, and indeed testing it.

Amplify can offer a competitive salary and benefits as well as 25 days holiday (excluding bank holidays). Our offices offer a stunning and peaceful setting to work in, a fully stocked soft drinks fridge, BBQ facilities, sun terrace, table tennis table, football and badminton facilities and a woodland adventure trail.
Due to remote location access to a car is a must!
