Family Engagement Lead
6-month temporary position
We are developing new partnership arrangements between the council, the police and health that will allow us to work together to continue to safeguard and promote the welfare of children in Wiltshire. The early adopters programme is a new and exciting stage of our transformation of children’s services.
We want to ensure the system that safeguards children and young people is informed by the people who use it. The new programme requires a practitioner who can work with children, young people and parents to find out more about how our services impact on their lives.
About the role
You will be responsible for working with parents and families to understand their experiences and feedback of our approach of enabling their children to be safer within their family.
Analysing data given and that we hold across the partnerships, you will develop, with families, an effective evaluation in which they will contribute to a new performance and outcome framework which will be rolled out across Wiltshire.
You will work closely with the existing commissioning, quality assurance and children’s service’s teams as well as the families and children transformation programme.
You will have significant professional experience of working with service users, families and young people and you will be creative. Your role will be to design methods of interaction with families that will effectively enable and support them to share their experiences in terms of what worked and what didn’t in enabling their children to be safer within their family.
The role will involve working with a wider range of professionals and service users to deliver a programme of work in 6 months. To do this you will need to prove you can manage projects effectively to meet deadlines, that you are used to working independently and that you are confident in working across organisational boundaries.
The role will involve managing highly sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults, as an employee you will be expected to share this commitment
