Residential Services Officer/Shift Leader
Here at Hindson House respite service, we are looking to appoint a Residential Services Officer/Shift Leader that shares our culture of care, respect and independence. We offer a more varied and fast paced respite care setting that will support you to grow and develop as a social care professional.
You’ll join a team in providing a high quality respite service for adults with learning and physical disabilities. We are a busy, fast paced respite service which would require you to think on your feet, be able to problem solve and make decisions in people’s best interests on a daily basis.
We are looking for someone to take responsibility for leading the shift, organising and prioritising daily tasks and delegating to others when appropriate. You’ll also work within an established team to contribute to the development of care plans for people who use our service, ensuring we continually offer a person centred approach.
Ideally, you’ll have experience of working with people with learning/physical disabilities in a respite setting, though this experience isn’t essential. We provide 24 hour care to our service users so what you must have is the flexibility needed for the working shift pattern, which includes sleep in duties and weekend working. NQV Level 3 would be advantageous but not essential as the opportunity to study towards this qualification is available for the right candidate.
In return for your hard work and commitment we offer a warm and supportive working environment, learning opportunities, a generous contributory pension scheme and various staff benefits and discounts.
