Position: Side by Side Coordinator 
Location: Islip, Northamptonshire 
Contract type: Part Time, Permanent 
Hours: 17.5 per week 
Salary: £11,066 actual per annum 

Closing date: 5pm on Thursday 25th October.

About the role: 

Are you an enthusiastic, passionate, experienced professional who would like to be part of growing an exciting flagship service for the Alzheimer’s Society? The Side by Side service aims to tackle issues around social inclusion and loneliness for people with dementia by supporting them to access hobbies and interests supported by volunteers in the community. 
About you: 

This influential role calls for a good understanding of dementia and proven ability to collaborate with external partners. You will be part of a small dynamic team who recruit and support volunteers to provide a service in the community for people with dementia. As part of this role the successful applicant will focus on assessing the needs, wishes and aspirations of people with dementia to provide a person centred, needs lead high quality service. 

You will be an excellent communicator and listener who can lead, develop and inspire others. Excellent organisational skills are essential, and you are likely to have experience of working with statutory and voluntary agencies. Add to that your ability to travel independently and work flexible hours when necessary
