Position: Support Workers ref 16427
Location: Tower Bridge area, London
Hours: Full time, Permanent -A maximum of a 40 hour permanent contract is available covering days, on call nights and weekend shifts. There will be a need to work flexibly with additional hours being offered, particularly during school holidays or when our client may attend evening activities.
Salary: £14.00 per hour weekdays, £16.00 per hour weekends, £102 on-call nights, £21.00 per hour Bank Holidays

About the role:
We are recruiting for a support worker to work with a child with severe cerebral palsy living in the Tower Bridge area of London. You will need to be able to follow therapy programs and take instruction from the child’s parents as well as other professionals involved in his care.
We are looking for people who can offer a long-term commitment to our client. You will need to be warm, pro-active and able to work on your own initiative.
The child requires support to engage in physical activities and as a wheelchair user you will need to demonstrate manual handling skills.
Experience of working with children with physical disabilities is desirable, however full training will be provided.
You will be responsible for providing all of his personal care. The right candidates will enjoy working with children and have excellent communication skills. The ability to work well within his family unit is essential.
Support workers will be requested to accompany our client and their family on holidays. It is therefore essential that applicants have the flexibility to support the family on these occasions.
Full driving licence essential.
Due to the nature of the role an enhanced DBS will be required.
