Location: Pontefract, West Yorkshire
Hours: Part time, 12 hours per week after school, at weekends and during school holidays. Days and times are flexible, subject to agreement with client and his family.
Salary: £11 per hour

About the role:
A 15 year old male teenager with an acquired brain injury requires an enthusiastic support worker to support him to acquire independent living skills. As part of an individual programme plan, the support worker will work alongside a treating therapy team, the young man and his family to provide direct care, guidance and supervision to allow the young person to progress with his rehabilitation goals and independent living skills.
Part of the role will be to support the young man to attend a local gym so the applicant will ideally have a similar interest.
Previous experience working with young people with additional needs is required.
The young man lives in the Pontefract area and applicants are wanted who ideally live within a commutable distance of Pontefract.
Full training will be provided.
Applicants must have a valid driver’s licence and their own vehicle with business insurance.
Due to the nature of the role an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required.
