Support Worker

Affinity Trust support adults with a range of learning disabilities, we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to provide outstanding care to the people we support!

Position: Support Worker - Outreach
Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire (Commutable from Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield and surrounding areas)
Job type: Full & Part time, Permanent
Hours: Up to 37.5 per week
Salary: £7.95 per hour

About the role:

We are looking for dedicated support workers for both full and part time opportunities to work in our brand new Outreach service across Wakefield; this includes Pontefract, Castleford, Knottingley, Ossett, Featherstone, Normanton, Walton, Eastmoor & Glasshoughton. No experience is necessary, just patience, a great sense of humour and a caring attitude, we can train you in the rest.

About you:

At Affinity Trust all of the people we support have a learning disability but many have associated health needs, dementia, physical disabilities, profound and multiple learning disability, mental health needs or behaviours that may challenge. Being a support worker means you are integral to the day to day lives of the people you support, helping them with various activities such as assistance with personal care, household chores, meal preparation, leisure activities, social inclusion and maintaining health and well-being.

Due to the nature of the role you will need to work flexibly and participate in shift work, access to your own transport is essential.

To be considered for this role you must be able to drive, have access to your own vehicle and be prepared to add business insurance to your insurance.
