Our use of marine data and technology, combined with our expertise, ensures we continue to innovate and provide a wider range of solutions.
Our Marketing Communications team is responsible for defining the core marketing strategies for the organisation and developing and implementing product positioning and ‘go to market’ plans.
As part of our Marketing team, you will ensure effective marketing communications through PR, advertising, exhibitions, web (admiralty.co.uk or gov.uk/ukho), social media and campaigns. This will involve devising and implementing marketing communications plans, both content and execution, to meet our commercial and performance targets.
You will proactively develop marketing campaigns, coordinating with key stakeholders and managing relationships with external agencies to ensure successful delivery to time and budget. This will require you to demonstrate and apply detailed market, customer and competitor understanding to ensure marketing communications meet business objectives.
Key skills and experience:
Applicants must have:
› A business or marketing-related degree
› A CIM or CIPR qualification
› Five years’ practical experience in marketing (including B2B)
The successful candidate must have experience of designing and implementing marketing communications campaigns, including managing external agencies. You must be able to work on your own initiative, meet deadlines and deliver results under pressure, and have good written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of the marine market (specifically navigation), past experience of working in an international business environment and experience of working with senior stakeholders is desirable.
As an important aspect of this role involves regular spoken interaction with members of the public, the ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential to be successful for the post.
