Lecturer in Foundation Learning

School of Health, Care, Science, Sport & Foundation Learning

Salary up to £35,811 per annum pro rata

24.5 hours per week (up to 16 teaching hours and 8.5 preparation and other duties hours).

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer to join the Foundation Learning team at Suffolk New College. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach across a range of subjects alongside a thorough understanding and experience of working with students with learning difficulties, disabilities and a diverse range of learning needs.

You should have a good standard of education including maths and English at level 2 or equivalent, a relevant degree or professional qualification and a teaching qualification or a commitment to obtaining one within a specified time after commencement of employment.

The position requires the post-holder to teach across all levels of the foundation learning programmes, from entry level 2 to level 2. The post-holder will be pro-actively involved in the day to day running, organisation and development of the foundation learning programmes as required by the Programme Leader or Head of School.
