Greater Brighton Metropolitan College (GBMet) (formerly Northbrook College and City College Brighton) aims to transform the lives of students across the Greater Brighton region.
This post offers the opportunity to work as part of the Additional Learning Support department, a team committed to delivering high quality support to students across the college. This interesting and challenging role involves making a positive difference to the learning experience of students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities and supporting the Lecturer in all areas of teaching and learning.
You will be working either with groups or one to one with learners from age 16 upwards, providing support in class as they study on a range of Vocational course
There are sessional hours to offer across all our Brighton MET campuses within the different vocational areas (for example Hair & Beauty, Engineering, Construction). In addition we have specific hours to offer in the area below -
Sessional hours (approx. 24 hours per week) supporting Maths classes - you will require recent experience of supporting students taking GCSE maths or have recently taken a maths GCSE yourself. You should be confident offering maths support and be able to build the confidence of the students.
