The Company;

This is an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Assistant to join an extremely successful HR & Organisational Development Team with a leading Health Care Solutions Company.

We are currently working on their behalf to recruit a Payroll, Pay & Reward Assistant who will support the Payroll Manager in providing a confidential and accurate monthly payroll. This will include running the payroll on the Access system and supporting the wider HR Operational Team on a wide range of topics including payroll, pensions, reward and benefits and people processes.

The Role:

As a experienced Payroll administrator you will be comfortable with and responsible for;

• Complex calculations of standing data and variable pay such as SMP, overtime, occupational & statutory sick pay, leavers & starters
• Dealing with Reward and Benefits administration i.e. Health membership, Cycle Schemes, Discount portal, eye tests.
• Support the Payroll Pay & Reward Manager in operational and project related job evaluation, pay and reward activities and benefits administration.
• Support the Operational HR Team with letters, starter and leaver processes and checking and vetting.
• Dealing with queries coming into the department and delivering an excellent customer experience

Candidate Overview:

We are looking for someone who has excellent payroll, analytical and administration experience ideally with some involvement in reward and benefits. You will have great communication skills and the ability to multi task and work well under pressure. This is a part time opportunity – 30 hours a week ideally to be worked over 5 days. Flexibility on working hours is available. You will have proven experience in payroll, be organised and enthusiastic. Essential experience of working with excel, outlook and word along with effective team working.

In summary Skills and Experience required are:

• GCSE (Grade C or above) or equivalent, English and Maths.
• Payroll legislation and payroll tax regulations knowledge
• Experience of working within Payroll essential
• Good knowledge of standard office software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Well organised thinking with an ability to multi-task with strong time management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Be able to work to tight deadlines with strong accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
