*Job Title:* BBEco Data Science Lead

*Start Date:* early 2019 (Jan/Feb)
*Location:* London, Oval
*Salary:* 24K-30K (based on exp) + bonus directly fixed to personal performance (est. YR 1 bonus - 15K-22K - during interview - we will discuss how this can be realistically achieved - it's not just another pie in the sky figure).

*Suited for:* Recruiters / Talent Acquisition personnel with 2+ years exp. working with freelance data scientists + clients. You'll ideally have a 'base' existing network of freelance data scientists + clients that we can plug and play into the community.

*About Us*

BBEcosystem ('BBEco') is a professional networking site designed specifically for the fast growing 'freelance' professional services world. Private beta launched in November 2017, with the full site launched in April 2018. We've already attracted 1000+ freelance members spread across 15 countries (mainly Europe). Clients include leading FTSE 100 businesses, VC-backed startups and leading global PE firms.

Our founder (Irfan), has set up and scaled some of Europe's largest freelance consulting businesses. These have included the freelancing desks in traditional recruitment agencies and most recently, he served as the Head of Freelance for an ex-Mckinsey founded 'platform' business with a membership of 29,000+ members - he's a well-known, seasoned expert in this space.

The world of work is changing, with more and more people ditching full-time professional services roles, opting to work 'freelance'. We believe, what we're building will help facilitate this new model of work, by laying down infrastructure to power this exciting new tomorrow.

Instead of building just another agency or 'projects platform', we're building a wider community based product for these freelance professionals/clients, helping them to engage and build meaningful relationships.

*This Role*

To date - BBEco has been 100% focused on freelance consultants (ex-McKinsey, Deloitte, OC&C etc). Following our continued growth we're expanding to our next community, which is freelance Data Scientists. We're not a recruitment agency - we don't believe in KPI's or micro-management. We'll give you the space and autonomy to mould this community as you see fit. You'll be working closely with the Founder to access guidance, advice and support, but we want you to take the reigns on this - own it.

*What you'll be doing (short-term):*

* Spearhead growth within the BBEco freelance data science community. This will involve 'professional' business development - approaching new clients + freelancers in a consultative way- strictly no hard selling or 'cold' phone calls allowed - we're a community based platform not an agency :)
* Project matching between freelancers + client projects
* Work directly with the founder to adapt the site to cater for this new community - re-designing profile pages, job posts, application forms etc.
* Re-shape our sales process / candidate database to cater for the freelance data science community
* Work more broadly with the Founder in helping to design Version 2 of the site - due for launch early 2019.
* Help with marketing activities directly related to this community (writing blog posts + designing/hosting curated events for the BBEco Data Science community)

*(Mid - Long term)*

* Act as a 'leader' within the business - scale a small team to work with you to facilitate growth within the Data Science segment of the BBEco community.
* Opportunity to travel - as we set up a 'base' community in the U.K along with a team + process to facilitate growth within the Data Science segment, you'll have the opportunity to travel regularly with the founder around Europe as he sets up communities in new regions.
* Have a say in how the business grows - perks / benefits etc. As we scale the team - we want your advice/input at all times.

*The ideal person*

*You'll need to:*

* be a people person - as we're a people business :)
* enjoy speaking to people and forming relationships
* favour working smart over working hard - anyone can sit at a desk for 12 hours and work 'hard', we want someone who can constantly think about what they're doing and how they're doing it - is there a better / more efficient way?
* be a strategic thinker - we're giving you the platform & autonomy - we want you to enjoy the challenge of building something pretty great (you'll have the founders support and guidance at all times).
* possess exemplary communication skills - most of the time you'll be speaking/meeting clients + freelancers
* enjoy working in a varied set-up with a strong degree of autonomy - we don't want to tell you how to work - we'd rather facilitate an environment that suits your working style, enabling you to flourish
* have 2+ years working in a Recruitment or Talent Acquisition role - a 'base' freelance data science + client network is a major plus for us.
* to be a good multi-tasker / time efficient - you'll be juggling quite a few balls.
* not be a jerk - being polite and courteous doesn't cost a thing, so we value it above all else
