SUPPORT WORKER - FEMALE - FULL TIME
We are looking for Full Time Female Support Workers to join our team at our service in Park Road, New Barnet
Park Road is an all-female service and currently has a CQC rating of Good. It has 5 Service Users ranging in age 31 to 77, with Learning Disabilities and Autism. Some of them require support with all their needs and some are more independent, with 2 of them requiring a wheelchair when out in the community. The Service users enjoy walks and lunches out, trips to the cinema and shopping along with activities within Park Road of Art and Crafts, music, foot spas, make up, massages and watching films.
Park Road has no onsite parking but street parking is available. Easily commutable from local underground, Cockfosters underground is a 10 minute walk and New Barnet High Street is only 10 minutes’ walk away.
Working at Park Road you will be supporting individuals with learning disabilities and Autism.
We are providing individuals with practical and emotional care, enabling them to have fulfilled lives and gain further independence.
Preferably experience of working in a similar environment but not essential as training is provided.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment
To maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families and other whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality
To support service users with the preparation of meals, laundry duties, cleaning and social events
To maintain accurate notes and records as and when required
To work as part of a team to provide high quality care.
The successful candidate will have:
• NVQ in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards
•Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues.
•The ability to keep calm under pressure
•Confidence to work alone and as part of a team
•Excellent communication skills
•The passion to work with vulnerable Adults
•The desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding
