Job overview / purpose

This is an exciting opportunity to start a career in Business and Marketing.

You will gain experience in a wide variety of areas including marketing communications, price and product management in addition to supporting a territory sales team to meet business targets.

Main responsibilities

The 3M Separation and Purification Sciences Division (SPSD) delivers innovative filtration solutions to a wide number of industries including Food & Beverage manufacturers (Breweries, distilleries and soft drinks manufacturers) and Pharmaceutical manufactures.

In this diverse and varied role, you will work with the SPSD UK and Ireland Sales and Marketing team on a wide variety of tasks:

Creating product literature and sales tools such as data sheets Maintaining and updating product price list Organisation and maintenance of our shared site where important documents are shared and communicated to the sales team Reviewing and maintaining web site product images and content Ordering and sending sample requests to customers Preparing and sending quotations Responding to general product enquiries Sales reporting and analytics Inputting data into our CRM system and subsequent monitoring Competitive monitoring through desk research Frequent use of excel and PowerPoint Ad hoc duties and projects Full training will be provided Other experiences will include supporting customers & leads through the sales cycle and working in project teams with both sales and marketing team members The successful candidate will report to the Marketing Manager, working as part of a small and friendly team

Desired qualities

Good planning and organisation skills, able to prioritise effectively and to work to tight deadlines Good verbal and written communication skill The ability to work well as part of a team Computer literacy and good typing skills A good level of English spelling and grammar Accuracy and attention to detail The ability to use your own initiative but also know when matters need to be referred to a supervisor Keen to learn Ability to communicate: friendly and helpful Enthusiastic Team Player Trust Worthy Confident Proactive and ambitious

Desired qualification

3 x GCSE (or equivalent) at grades A-C in any subject, plus GCSE English and Maths (or equivalents) at grade D or above

Working week

9am – 5pm,

5 days per week,

35 hours per week [average week, will be confirmed with the employer]

Salary

£11,207 per annum
