Specialist Lead - Ophthalmic Anaesthetics
Band 6 Specialist Lead - Ophthalmology Anaesthetics
30hours; Monday to Friday
We are offering an opportunity for an experienced theatre practitioner to join our Ophthalmology team.
This small but busy team provide an excellent patient service and work with the Theatre Manager to manage all aspects of care within this department.
There is a requirement for the anaesthetic practitioner to be part of an on-call rota which provides cover for out-of-Trust patient transfers.
Northampton General Hospital is currently waiting to hear whether we have been successful in our bid to be the first Trust in the country to be awarded Pathway to Excellence. This is an American accreditation system that recognises an environment where nurses flourish which has a positive impact on patient care.
We are in the process of employing a Practice Educator for Theatres who will support your induction, probation period and on-going development.
If you have the required level of experience, enjoy working in a busy, patient focused environment then please make an appointment for an informal visit and we show you around and explain more about the roles.
To deliver best possible care for our patients:
We put patient safety above all else
We aspire to excellence
We reflect, we learn, we improve
We respect and support each other
