Position: Dementia Support Worker 
Location: Paddock Wood, Tunbridge Wells, Kent 
Contract type: Part time, Permanent 
Hours: 28 per week 
Salary: £16,276 actual per annum

About the role: 

A Dementia Support Worker’s role is to provide support, information and guidance to people with dementia and their carers helping to maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives. You will assist people with dementia and their carers to identify their needs and access services. This support and information can be provided via email, telephone or via a face to face meeting. 
About you: 

You will have a good working knowledge of the needs of people living with dementia, and of the people who care for them. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to travel independently around the area the role covers. The role requires applicants to have achieved an NVQ level 3, QCF level 3 or equivalent. 

As a Dementia Support Worker, you will be helping people who have been diagnosed with a dementia and/or their families to access the support and information they need to ensure that they live well. You will be part of an organisation which strives to improve the lives of people affected by dementia by working collaboratively with other agencies and organisations to ensure the best outcomes for its service users.
