Position: Group Coordinator 
Location: The London Borough of Merton 
Contract type: Part Time, Permanent 
Hours: 14 per week 
Salary: £8,916 actual per annum

About the role: 

The purpose of this role is to coordinate, organise and facilitate the successful and safe provision of services delivered in a group setting. The type of service delivered in a group setting may include Dementia Café, Activity Groups and Singing for the Brain. The successful candidate will setup, promote, establish, organise and facilitate group(s), take account of the individual needs of group attendees when designing group sessions and adjusting the programme as necessary. 

Please note that this position will include a Saturday café from 2-4pm twice per month, and a number of cafes and groups from the Merton Dementia HUB and around the borough that may occasionally be outside of working hours. Working days will need to include Tuesday’s. 

About you: 

You will possess an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, have good organising and facilitation skills, good communication and listening skills and an understanding of the value of group activities to people living with dementia. Good computer skills are also a requirement of the role.
