Optimum Recruitment Group are recruiting on behalf of a fast paced, growth business in Harrogate who are looking to appoint a Part Time Payroll/Accounts Assistant.

Are you an experienced Payroll/Accounts Assistant looking for c21 hours per week to suit you? Lacking passion in your current role and looking for a new challenge?

Joining the finance team, the Payroll/Accounts Assistant will provide support to the accounts team around their monthly payroll duties. The role will be covering all aspects of payroll along with other ad-hoc accounts admin required by the accounts team. Duties include:

* Processing monthly payroll including overtime on Sage Payroll

* Dealing with starters/leavers and all associated paperwork – P45s, P60s etc

* Production of payroll reports

* Submission of appropriate information to HMRC

* Payroll journal preparation for nominal ledger input

* Recording of holidays and absence

* General administration relating to payroll including year-end processes

* Answering employee queries regarding payslips

* Providing support for ledger processing team

* Assisting with month end accounts preparation

The successful candidate will have extensive experience working within Payroll and some general accounts admin exposure.

You will have strong organisational skills and be a confident user of Excel. Experience of Sage Payroll and Sage Line 50 are essential for this role.

You will be an outgoing and personable individual, who is keen to work within a fast paced company as part of a friendly team
