Our inspiring and award-winning Children’s Services are expanding on a nationwide basis – we are therefore looking to grow our team of person-centred and empowering employees even further. The Children’s Division within CareTech provides residential care, fostering and supported accommodation to some of the most inspirational Young People across the UK. We have over 60 Children’s Services across the UK, and are now looking to expand further within our Inspire division.
Acorn Way is a purpose built, 5 bedded short break service based in Telford. The home has a spacious garden to the rear with a ground level trampoline, go cart track and a small allotment area at the side of the house. The home is on one level and fully accessible for wheelchair users. It is located in a quiet suburban area with access to a variety of local facilities. We arrange days out, fun events and a variety of activities tailored to each child’s ability. Our service is designed to meet the needs of families with children with disabilities in the area.
No care experience is necessary to us; however you must be able to demonstrate your commitment and passion to supporting our Young People and be willing to work towards care qualifications. In this type of role, no day is the same – one day you might be hiking up a mountain or attending a football match, the next you might be knee-deep in mud after helping a Young Person gardening and using your culinary skills to prepare a nutritious meal. We are looking for caring, empowering and friendly individuals who can really make a difference to our inspiring Young People.
Every Young Person in our care is treated as an individual; we are seeking Support Workers who are adaptable, able to work under pressure and can work flexibly.
