SEN Teaching Assistant - Kenilworth- Urgently Needed

Academics ltd is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced SEN teaching Assistant in Kenilworth to start ASAP. If you have experience with supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in a home, school or community setting, Academics would love to hear from you. Interviews will be taking place immediately.

The job role includes:

One to one teaching support to those with additional needsWorking under the direction of the class teacherAdhering to safeguarding guidelines and school policiesLiaising with parents and professionals regarding progress and specialised individual programmesMay be required to assist with school trips, help with personal care, assist with lunchtime duties and help prepare resourcesWorking with students with ASD, ADHD and MLDStrong behaviour management skillsWorking with Children in Infant and Primary School

Requirements

Patient and respectful of individual needsPassionate and inspirationalMentor and support in both small groups and on a one to one basisBe eligible to work in the UKAt least 2 years SEN experience (Autism, ADHD, ASD, MLD, SLD)Available to work full time or part time ASAPAble to travel to KenilworthValid enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain oneNVQ Level 2/3 Supporting teaching and LearningVery Strong behaviour management skills

Desirable

Level 3 qualified or equivalent (NVQ Level 2/3 Supporting teaching and Learning)Degree educatedExperience as a special educational needs assistant (Experienced with ASD, EBD, MLD)Restraint training such as Team teach is desirable but not essential
