Team Manager - Fostering - Haringey - £47,613 to £53,163 per annum

Fostering Team Manager required within the Fostering Team of the Children in Need service. Haringey has been through a journey of improvement over the past ten years, with continued aspirations to fulfil the first corporate priority of enabling every child the best start in life. The borough of Haringey is unique with diverse children and families, we are looking for social workers that are ready for a fresh challenge, with the ability to make a real difference to the residents of Haringey borough.

The structure of the Fostering Service includes Two Teams, One Senior Practitioners, and 12 Social Workers managed overall by the Service Manager within Fostering and Adoption.

Suitable candidate will have two years of management experience, preferably in a similar setting. The successful candidate will join supportive colleagues whose core business relates to supporting Fostering Carers and young people in the need of foster families.

The skill base required centre on managing performance of Social Workers with the end objective of increasing foster carers within the Borough of Haringey for children in Care. The Successful Applicant will have experience of:

Previously working within a fostering team and as a Manager Proven knowledge of the Children's Act, fostering standards and using these outcomes to improve outcomes for children. Experience of working on more complex cases Experience of undertaking all work with users of our service, their families and carer's. Knowledge of Fostering regulations, national minimum standards and legislation.

Requirements of the Team Manager:

Degree or equivalent in social workCurrent HCPC registrationSignificant senior level front line experience within children's services
