The role we’re looking to fill is a great opportunity for someone passionate about both this mission and content writing, who wants to join the company’s global marketing team in London.Reporting to the Content Marketing Manager, your work will focus on creating and editing written content relevant to hotel revenue and distribution managers around the world. Content underpins all of our marketing efforts and we’re ramping up the production of it to help address our increasingly ambitious commercial goals.This content broadly falls into two categories: material that directly talks about OTA Insight and its products; and material that discusses issues that are relevant to our market, which our products overlap with but to which we limit direct references.You will be involved with both types but the emphasis will be on the latter, which includes blog posts (written with SEO keywords in mind) and thought leadership (third-party pieces and eBooks etc).Key responsibilities* Help with the creation of original or repurposed written material, including:* Blog posts and news stories for our website* eBooks and white papers* Case studies and customer stories* Reports* Landing pages* General webpages* Emails* Articles for third-party publications* Social media messaging* Miscellaneous commissions* Generate ideas for content* Edit freelancers’ work, as required* Use HubSpot to help build our content-supporting frameworks and add material to our website* Contribute to general marketing team meetings* Other reasonable tasks relating to content specifically or marketing generally, as required Candidate requirements* Ability and enthusiasm to write accurate, engaging and informative contentEither:* A first degree or equivalent in any subject + two or more years’ experience in journalism, copywriting, communications or a related fieldOR* A first degree in an essay-based subject (e.g. English or history) or hospitality + work experience that you can show provides transferable skills for this role* Knowledge of or experience in at least one of these would be a plus: - The hotel or travel industry - Software as a service (SaaS), B2B online information subscription businesses or similar* Good project management skills and ability to work to tight deadlines* Naturally proactive but able to work reactively on projects with short notice when required* Excellent research skills and an enquiring mind* Personable character* Analytical and numerate, with good general commercial acumen* Attention to detail* English native and additional language is a plus
