Who are we?
At Inkpact, we believe business is personal, it's our mission to help companies delight their clients and create magical human moments, that drive brand loyalty and increase repeatable business. We do this by enabling our customers to send handwritten messages at scale, simply via the touch of a button.
We’re an inquisitive bunch who like to have fun, we focus on growth, creativity, and take personal development and wellness seriously.

We are backed by the telecoms giant Telefonica and got off the ground with seed investment from successful entrepreneurs such as the founder of Mr and Mrs Smith.
Most importantly we focus our efforts around the principle of ‘Be Unforgettable’ whether that is in business, friendships or life in general – we live to create unforgettable moments...

What’s the role?
The Business Development Manager at Inkpact plays a vital role across the entire sales process. It’s your job to identify, find, contact and build relationships with our target audience, introducing our offering and brand in a clear, concise and exciting way. You’ll be responsible for qualifying any incoming leads, understanding their goals and if they’re the right fit for us, scheduling a meeting for the Sales Team. However, it doesn’t stop there, you’ll be attending sales meetings too, working with the Sales Manager to prepare beforehand and follow up afterwards too. The ultimate aim, of course, is to close the sale and bring the client onboard.

On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be involved in the planning process, helping to determine our next campaign and conducting research across a wide range of platforms to support this. In the role of Business Development Rep, you’ll need to think outside of the box to ensure you and Inkpact stand out in the market and have a relentless attitude towards success to drive us towards our stretching growth and revenue targets.

Other things you’ll be accountable for are;
• Holding the wider Sales & Marketing Team accountable for their actions and ensuring updates are provided in a timely and accurate way
• Prospecting to key decision makers (e.g. Head of CRM, Head of Marketing) and influencers within organisations.
• Undertaking prospecting campaigns including direct mail, email, cold calling etc
• Creating supporting material for prospecting campaigns (blog posts, how-to videos etc)
• Attending events on behalf of Inkpact as a guest or exhibitor
• Delivering webinars and platform (SaaS) demos
• Being the first contact for inbound enquiries across online and offline channels

What you’ll be measured on…
As a company, we have a stretching revenue target for the year and you’re going to need to play your part in our growth. You’ll be measured on your ability to book meetings with the right clients for the Sales Team. And, because you play an important role throughout the sales process, you’ll also be measured on the amount of revenue you support in bringing through. Finally, you will be expected to help ensure the pipeline of prospects is looking healthy – But don’t worry, we have regular 1-2-1’s to ensure we’re keeping on track!

Person Specification
To be successful as a BDR, you’ll possess a wide range of skills and have a positive attitude to match. Whilst we do provide an excellent training and personal development programme, you’ll need to approach things with an open mind, be willing to hustle your way to success and not be discouraged when things don’t go to plan. We’ll be looking to you to bring grit, determination and fun to the team.

You’re likely to be a confident person, with self-belief in abundance, but crucially, you’ll be able to balance this with genuine passion, empathy and a deep understanding of Inkpact’s value proposition.
We’re a rapidly growing and fast-moving company, so we’ll need you to be flexible, learn quickly and challenge yourself and others to bring success to the team. Therefore, you’ll be highly organised and be able to keep many plates spinning at the same time internally, whilst giving our customers a best-in-class experience like they’ve never had before.

What you’ll get from joining us…
In return, we offer a competitive base salary, a very generous commission structure (with unlimited earning potential) and 25 days holiday to relax and recharge. When you’re not in meetings, you’ll work from our recently renovated Brixton-based Head Office and when we’re successful, we celebrate… lots!
And finally, one thing you probably won’t get anywhere else… Every quarter we take the team on a 2.5 day Retreat – we have shed-loads of laughs, learn lots and bond as a team in a relaxed and fun environment.
