Based at County Hall, we are looking to recruit to an admin support role to assist the Virtual School Team.


The Virtual School (VS) is part of Families and Children’s Service, the VS acts as a champion to promote and support the Education, Training and Employment needs of children and young people looked after by Wiltshire council.

About the role

You will be key in providing support to the team of professionals who work for the VS. As part of the role you will coordinate PEP meetings for children and young people and be required to liaise with schools, carers Social workers and other professional within the council. The role provides a first point of contact for enquiries and administration support for the team, and is particularly busy in school term time.

About you

You will have excellent communication and organisation skills. We will look to you to be IT literate with the ability to learn new systems quickly, use bespoke packages and work accurately paying close attention to detail when working under pressure.

A positive and flexible approach is required to ensure that the best outcomes are achieved.

You will need to be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Hours of work: 23.5 hours per week, working four days per week which must include a Friday.
