Reporting to: Operations Director/Managing Director
Location: Darlington - North East England

  • Overall responsibility for the FMBS Accountancy Academy Centre
  • A key responsibility for managing the day to day relationship with the partner College; and Tutors delivering the FMBS Curriculum and any complimentary provision to FMBS students on-site, off-site and at FMBS Academy locations.

Principle Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for the FMBS Academy Centre including the achievement of:

  • Student Recruitment
  • Success Rate and contribution targets
  • To effectively manage the day to day relationship with the Partner College
  • Achieving Centre KPI’s including budget and success rates
  • Provide key performance information to the Operations Director as agreed, (Pro-forma to measure progress against the KPI’s)
  • Timely recording of all academy data on both the Partner College and FMBS MIS systems
  • Timely completion of quarterly reconciliations in conjunction with FMBS MIS team and the Partner College in line with Academy legal agreement
  • Annual Self-Assessment Report and Quality Improvement Plan (by centre)
  • Creating, sustaining relations and developing new business (Business Development)
  • Staff Recruitment (for the centre for which they have responsibility)
  • Staff Induction
  • Identification of staff training/CPD requirements

Oversee tutors in delivering the following:

  • Tutors taking responsibility for their students learning and progress
  • Preparing them for their exams
  • Ensuring that they sit their exams
  • Supporting students who don’t pass the first time and guiding them on to the next appropriate course.

Effective deployment of resources including;

  • Human Resource
  • Physical Resources;
  • Timetabling.
  • Attendance at Academy Management Board
  • Planning the delivery of effective student advice, guidance, enrolment and progression inline with FMBS procedures and Centre Staff PDR.
