With you, with the child, every step of the way
The Family Support and Protection Service (FSP) plays a key role in child protection, child in need cases and safety planning for children. We utilise the Signs of Safety framework to support our social work practice and we are proud to have collaborated with Eileen Munro and Andrew Turnell to embed this framework across the service.
We undertake meaningful, transparent direct work with children and their families ensuring the most positive outcomes, and our diverse practice teams work within a positive, nurturing environment where successes are celebrated and individuals within the team are supported to grow and develop.
As a Social Worker within the FSP service you will be working to deliver first class support to vulnerable children and families. We are looking for emotionally intelligent, organised, resilient individuals who are able to evidence the value they could add to our team. You must have excellent writing and communication skills to produce reports for conference and court purposes.
What we offer:
- Small teams of social workers, managed by a Practice Manager and supported by Advanced Practitioners
- Group supervision and peer learning, supported by the Principle Social Worker for CIN, alongside specialist roles within the assessment team to focus on the most vulnerable children.
- A minimum of 5 CPD and training days per year, with access to excellent learning and development provision
- Posts may be eligible for relocation allowance subject to conditions.
