A beautiful charity based in Stroud that support people with a Learning disability to live a happy and successful life. The settings is a residential community with around 30 adults living in a community with fantastic amenities, including wood work shops, kitchens, farm and textile workshop. The charity heavily involves the people they support to become part of the community, this involves things such as delivering the farm grown food to other people living in the village. The ethos at the setting is exceptional and completely revolves around person centred care.
Your new role
Your new job is to work as a Support worker, you will play a vital role in allowing the people you support to live their lives whilst achieving the best possible outcomes. A big part of the job will involve key working with residents to support them with their ambitions and goals. The job of a Support worker is incredibly fulfilling and rewarding, making a huge difference the peoples lives.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have experience of working as a Support worker already, ideally within Learning disabilities and / or Autism, a full driving licence and most importantly the passion to make a difference in someone else's life.An NVQ would be bonus but not essential.
