Our client are an established and growing company who are looking for a Buyer to take responsibility for product buying, managing documentation, supplier relationships and import side you will need to be hands on and able to multi task and have solid IT skills.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

* Raise and send purchase orders, check order acknowledgements and highlight and resolve discrepancies prior to shipment.

* Establish and implement purchasing policies, procedures and best practices
* Negotiate contractual rates, terms or deals with suppliers
* Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers
* Source new suppliers and vendors appropriate to business needs and cost reduction

* Monitor performance and undertake supplier reviews

* Stock forecast, manage documentation and schedules for import purchasing

* Ensure stock holding agreements with customers are monitored and adhered to.

* Chase suppliers for late deliveries and communicate delivery issues to relevant departments
* Re-source supplies when suppliers are unable to provide
* Manage stock holding quantities according to current trends or customer demand
* Management of the disposal/redistribution of obsolete stock
* Oversee the operations and daily activities of the department
* Set up new products on system including kitted items.

* Resolve invoice queries

* Manage and document returns procedure
* Meet and manage KPIs

Salary £35000 for 40 hour week - Monday to Friday plus extra hours will be paid - Extensive company benefits package .
