Student Services – Welfare Advisor
Full Time: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Fixed Term: 1 year from February 2019
Salary: £19,479 to £21,924 per annum

The above vacancies have arisen within our Student Services Department to provide a professional service to all our visitors, students and staff.
Main purpose of the role:
- Responsible for providing impartial, pastoral advice to students and prospective students, in relation to student welfare.
- Identify and alleviate safeguarding and welfare barriers to enable students. To commence, continue and complete their education.
- Ensure that all learners and internal and external customers receive excellent customer care from all staff within the learning resource centre/welfare team/enquiries team and admissions and enrolments.
The successful candidates must be computer literate, with a working knowledge of current office software packages. They must be highly organised, with the ability to prioritise their workload and be able to use their own initiative. They must be flexible and a team player. They should be adaptable, able to deal with more than one task at a time and enjoy working in a busy environment. They must be committed to working as part of a multifunctional team and provide cover and support within the Student Services Department as required across all sites.
