Job Title: Assistant Education Officer

Contract: 12 months, fixed term maternity cover

Salary: £26,000-£36,500

Location: The Triangle Building, Cambridge, CB2 8EA

What it's about

To manage a range of activities across the business strands associated with Professional Development Programmes with responsibilities across quality processes, assessment and development.

What you'll be doing
  • Managing processes critical to PDQ products, services and programmes
  • Leading on the government and reporting of PDQ Programmes' data
  • Managing the relationships with counterparts in other teams in Cambridge and in the regional offices to fulfil operational requirements and support the development of systems and procedure
  • Liaising with external consultants and examiners for the team

What we're looking for


Essential: A Level education (or equivalent)


  • Good communication skills (both spoken and written) with a wide variety of audiences (both internal and external to Cambridge Assessment International Education)
  • Thoroughness, attention to detail and seeing tasks through to completion
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Competence in using range of applications on PC and AppleMac, and tablets.


  • Support and management of tasks in a complex office environment
  • Dealing with external communications and enquiries at all levels e.g. customers and suppliers

  • Support and management role in projects and/or product developments
  • Work in an international context


  • Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
