The bank is constantly investing in our digital business capabilities and given the growing scale and sophistication of cyber security threats and attacks, we need to ensure that our security controls can continue to keep our business and customers safe. Consequently, we need brilliant people to make our plans a reality and to help us on our quest to become Britain’s best loved bank.

We’ve an opportunity for an experienced Security Architect to bolster a talented team who do a brilliant job protecting the bank. The successful applicant will also be responsible for developing, maintaining and embedding the enterprise security architectural artefacts that will underpin the bank’s cyber-security solutions to mitigate ongoing threats, without detriment to customer experience and trust.

Partnering with the business on all aspects of customer and colleague protection, you’ll own and manage key colleague relationships. We’ll ask you to identify, diagnose, and define issues relating to enterprise level security and work collaboratively with stakeholders to establish, shape and embed solutions. As an expert we’ll look to you to support and advice as well as keeping abreast of industry developments.

To be brilliant, you’ll have a successful security background gained within a similar role. What’s key is the ability to provide strong technical leadership, influence, challenge, communicate and be a central point of contact. You’ll have a lust for learning as our CCP ambassador to truly keep us safe from the evolving security landscape. We’re looking for people who are insatiably curious and dare to be different. Key skills we are looking for;

  • Substantial experience in designing and implementing an approach to security architecture in support of wider Enterprise Architecture and Security efforts
  • Experience of developing security designs (business and system), including compliance to security standards
  • Good understanding of Cyber Security
  • Excellent overall knowledge of a broad range of Security Architecture
  • Experience of using Security Architecture frameworks and architecture frameworks
  • Understanding of the principles of security best practice (ISO27001, SoGP, NIST, etc.)
