Reed Finance is working in partnership with a reputable employer in Cookstown, in their appointment of a full time and permanent Management Accountant.

This is a genuinely excellent opportunity due to the continued growth and expansion of our client.

The purpose of this role is to support operations and senior management, providing accurate and timely information to support financial and production requirements to drive improvements across the business.

Key areas of responsibility include:

Production of daily, weekly, monthly stock and yield information for the production of the site monthly management accounts;

Production and submission of weekly profit reports and variance analysis on weekly and quarterly basis;

Assist in preparation and completion of monthly financial accounts;

Assist in preparation site budgets for Senior Management and Board;

Production of baseline information to assist product costing;

Analysis and interpretation of financial data to recommend changes for improving financial performance;

Direct budgets and cost controls;

Liaise with external bodies, auditors and external auditors etc. as required;

Liaise with production and sales departments in relation to financial forecasts, budgets and performance;

Production of capital expenditure proposals and up to date register of agreed proposals with current status;

Production of the weekly management review;

Preparation of stock forecasting information via liaison with key sales account managers;

Any other duties deemed necessary.

All applicants should be a fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent OR be at finals stage with demonstrable experience.

This role could be ideally suited to those with 1-2 years PQE with a view to developing further.

You will demonstrate a thorough understanding of management accounting principles and techniques.

Ideally you will have experience of product costing and the ability to work to tight deadlines.

You will require effective presentation and report writing skills together with strong IT skills- Excel, Word, SAP.

Strong analytical skills & good organisational and administrative skills are essential.
