Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk
Bruckshaw Associates are exclusively recruiting for our Pershore based client. An award winning, market leader in their sector, they require an experienced senior purchase ledger clerk to join their hard working, supportive and well-oiled finance team.
Roles and responsibilities:
Heading up the Purchase ledger function, your main duties will be to, ensure the smooth day to day running of the purchase ledger function. Be the main line of communication for any queries, Coding, batching and processing all invoices on a daily basis including matching to purchase orders and obtaining authorisation for payment in line with company policy, Processing and payment of expenses and petty cash claims. Reconciling suppliers’ statements and ensuring queries are handled promptly and correctly. Assisting in the preparation and production of weekly cheque/BACS payments. Being part of a team orientated finance function there will additional needs occasionally on request of the Finance Manager.
It is important that you have experience of all the above, strong IT knowledge including Excel and other MO packages. Although not a direct team leader role you will be the first line of support for junior team members and required to support and assist with any needs. You will need to be approachable, display strong communication skills and have the ability to deal with high volumes in a busy environment.
