Axon Moore Exclusive Opportunity. A Private Equity backed International Professional Services Business is recruiting a European Financial Controller to lead its already well established European finance team based at their UK Corporate Head office in Warrington. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly ambitious and driven ACA qualified accountant seeking a fast-paced environment where you can drive improvements in the finance function. The role involves working closely with Operations and will develop into more of a Business Partnering capacity, working with the business and driving forward thinking and commercial performance.

Role Requirements:

- Management of the Europe finance team including performance, development and recruitment
- Oversee the production of accurate monthly accounts for the European Business
- Ensure appropriate financial close procedures are in place including account reconciliations, full review of P&L including overheads etc.
- Manage the European cash flow and provide regular, accurate forecasts to Corporate treasury team
- Work with the business to complete accurate monthly forward forecasting
- Management and ownership of budget process for the European region in line with the Corporate policy and timetable
- Work with the Regional Head to improve the monthly Board reporting and KPI analysis
- Production of UK Statutory accounts and liaise with the auditors for the audit of the European business
- Continuous review of financial controls and reporting systems within the European business to look for improvements in process in consultation with the Commercial Finance Director and Group Financial Controller

- ACA qualified or equivalent
- 3+ years PQE
- Experience of leading a finance team including developing key team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to manage change projects
- Evidence of preparing reports and presentations to Board level stakeholders
- Strong commercial focus and a progressive approach to problem solving
- Analytical mind with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy of output
- Ability to establish and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and understanding of professional services business would be an advantage
