Business Development Manager
What a way to kick the year off. We’ve just started working with a new client who has a fabulous opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join their star studded team. Our client is a fast growing, agile SME who is serious about delivering best-in-class IT and EPoS equipment for the retail and hospitality industry. Their client list is impressive with just a few you might know such as Pizza Express, Boots, Costa Coffee and McDonalds.
The Business Development Manager role has been created to help cater for the growth they are experiencing and a high proportion of the work will involve developing new business. The geographical patch for this role is national, providing ample opportunity to succeed, and you will be reporting into the Head of Sales & Marketing. You will be based out of the Milton Keynes office two days a week with the rest on the road or working from home. The role is salary and bonus / commission based, so our client is looking for self-motivated, well organised, results oriented people.
What is our client looking for?
You will need to have a minimum of five years’ experience selling and developing IT and EPoS services and solutions with operational knowledge and experience of IT and EPoS Deployment and Services within the hospitality and retail sector. However if you have a proven track record (i.e. you have delivered your targets) in a similar industry where both customer service and sales are a priority then tell us where you feel you can make the transition - we are listening!
You will have experience leading and motivating teams, prioritising your own work load, conducting your own market research and generating valuable leads. You will also be a strong communicator and negotiator and have the ability to build lasting relationships with colleagues and prospects.
