Supply Chain Manager
A Purchasing Manager is required for a leading wholesaler who maintains a 99% next day delivery rate for their customers across the UK and Ireland.
Your role will ensure the purchasing team delivers optimum supplier performance that delivers leading stock availability with effective cost controls.
The role works closely with the company's Far East office who procure products & source suppliers direct from source with manufacturers.
Locally you will work closely with operations, sales, promotions and also with the quality assurance team so you can identify what needs to be bought and ensure the quality of inbound goods that has been bought.
You will ensure the highest level of stock management and inventory availability.
You will manage and mentor an existing purchasing team.
You will also be involved in developing and implementing operational improvements using Lean / Kaizen tools and techniques.
To be successful in this role you will have suitable experience working in a diverse worldwide supply environment with a high volume of product lines.
You will have excellent experience of ensuring continuous product availability ready for dispatch to customers.
