Chef manager required for this stunning 47 bed residential care home in the heart of York, just outside the village of Grimston, this care home offers an excellent level of food and service to it's residents.

A Chef manager you will be required to offer a fresh food menus and seasonal choices to the residents, from a home made lunch and evening meal service to homemade snacks and cakes on a daily basis.

This role would ideally suit an existing chef manager, whom has experience of working in a care or residentail environment, due to the natural demands this type of role will bring.

Having extensive knowledge and experience of special dietary requirements and allergen training is really key, along with a fresh food chef background, menu planning, costing and knowledge of budgets and GP are also a huge part of this role.

Chef manager- The role

-At least two years experience as a chef manager
-Chef manager
within a care home would be a huge advantage
-Knowledge and experience of HACCP, COSHH and food allergens.
-Able to work 40 hours per week, alternate weekends.
-prep and supply of fresh food menus to 47 residents.
-working 5/7 straight shifts.
-day to day contact with residents
-discussions of menu planning with care team and residents alike.

Chef manager -Required experience

-Two years minimum experience as Chef manager
-Experience of working in a care home kitchen
-Fresh food chef background
-Driver with own car due to location.(ESSENTIAL)
-Qualified chef
-At least two years of working in a professional kitchen.
-Eligible to live and work in UK
-Clear DBS and role subject to references.
