Dean Healthcare is one of the leading recruitment providers within the Health & Social Care sector throughout the region. We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader to work with a leading care provider providing support to young people between the ages of 8 - 19 years with various needs such as Learning disabilities, Autism and Asperger's.

This role is based in the Stoke Gifford area supporting your Deputy House Manager and Registered Manager (and deputising in their absence) in working with a team of support workers to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment that puts the health, safety and welfare of our young people first. The role will provide appropriate physical and emotional support to children and young people through the work of the care team within a residential and education environment and with off-site activities.

Could this role be for you?

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities to be able to deliver the care required:

  • QCF Level 3 Diploma or equivalent in Children & Yound People, Residential Childcare
  • Driving Licence
  • Support the positive management of a team through effective motivating and coaching and work directly with the children and young people.

  • Support the process of reviewing and managing the team's performance via feedback to the Deputy House Manager and Registered Manager and by supporting performance and quality of care during a shift.
  • Through own practice and coaching ensure that national minimum care standards are met and wherever possible exceeded.
  • Act as a role model and support the development and improvement of individual and team practice.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures and ensure that these are followed by team members.
  • Able to work on a rota basis including weekends, bank holidays and sleep ins.
