These new strategically important postions have arisen due continue to expand and develop sales of water boosting solutions into the commercial project sectors. The role mainly involves selling the range of packaged pumping equipment. You will be a key player within the Sales Team taking on the development of specifications within the M&E consultants and Design and Build sector, and the management of these projects (to order stage) via the M&E Contractors. This is a 'home office' based position with meetings as and when required at the head office. Product and building services knowledge is preferred but the role is open to a suitable candidate’s background.



Primary function is to raise awareness, create new business demand and increase sales of products via the sale of packaged boosting systems to M&E contractors.

Reporting directly to the Business Development Director you will be responsible for managing existing and developing new accounts within the Building Services M&E sector and associated specifiers.

Develop enquiry opportunities with M&E Contractors but also within the wider industry sector to increase the level of specified product via quotation work.

Understanding of all the technical aspects of boosted, stored, conditioned waters products, systems, processes and applications



  • Proven industry sales experience with highly developed commercial acumen
  • Ideally mechanically qualified (HNC/HND) or equivalent relevant experience
  • Highly motivated individual who can work on their own initiative; continually reviewing and improving working procedures.
  • Ability to communicate both technically and commercially across a broad spectrum of contacts with the ability to listen and communicate information clearly and effectively
  • Abilty to give commercial and technical sales presentations and conduct site surveys
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills: Word, Excel and Powerpoint proficient
  • Excellent project management with timely project follow up calls utilising an ACT based CRM system
  • Understand competitor products and monitor market activity, generating useful market feedback.
  • Out of hours work, industry trade shows etc., may be a requirement from time to time
  • Current and clean driving licence



The Area Sales Managers role requires a flexible individual who has a good balance between sales, marketing and technical skills. Experience of Dealing with a specification type of sell is important and that individuals have a good technical background in a similar field. It is also important that individuals have good relationship building skills as there will be a lot of liaison with many different customers and divisional colleagues (Sales, Marketing & Engineering)
