SEN Teacher Specification
Special needs teacher: We are looking for a dynamic and motivated SEN teacher. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and assisting with special educational needs and have the ability facilitate the specific requirements of their students. This is a full time SEN school teaching position starting in Jan/Feb 2019.
The school is a fantastic SEN secondary unit located in the Richmond borough which caters for students with a variety of needs. The children are aged 10-16 and generally have mild learning difficulties.
The school has an active SENDCo and all classes have one or two teaching assistants present to ensure all students needs are catered for throughout lessons.
Although the school does not necessarily follow the national curriculum, it works hard to ensure all the students capable leave with GCSE's and similar opportunities to those students in a mainstream setting.
The school is looking for a SEN teacher who is confident in their ability to engage with and inspire pupils to achieve their best. Candidates must be fully qualified and preferably have SEN experience with excellent classroom practices and a love of teaching.
