Administrator - Mandarin Speaking

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Administrator to join a small international education consultancy firm in the City of London.

Applicants must be fluent in English and Mandarin with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

You must also have at least 2+ years administration experience to be considered for the role and have ideally worked in the education industry.

LOCATION: City of London

SALARY: £23-25K

START: ASAP

TYPE: Permanent, Full Time

CORE DUTIES:

  • Proactively manage complex schedules for consultants
  • Responsible for all communications related to the office
  • Responsible for customer service and dealing with complains
  • Liaise with other offices and can process information correctly and efficiently
  • Contribute to and support the office as a whole
  • Screening telephone calls and handling them as appropriate
  • Answer or transfer calls, taking appropriate messages in a clear and professional manner
  • Data Entry, include updating various Excel spreadsheets with accurate and clear information
  • Office management duties
  • Implement new processes and procedures in the office
  • Taking notes / minutes where required
  • Email management and gate keeping - being an ambassador of the company
  • The successful person will be required to learn about the business and the way it is run, and understand and contribute to improvements

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Totally fluent in Mandarin with business level English
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar administration role, ideally within the education industry
  • Must be a team player
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office required
  • Must have excellent attention to detail, be highly confident and extremely organised
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage own time effectively
  • Must be resilient with a can do attitude
  • Proactive and able to think ahead
  • The ability to work alone at times and often unsupervised
  • Able to work under pressure
